Join us for a webinar as we describe how the Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum fits within the overall spectrum of Lifestyle Medicine education and certification. We will share the history of the LMRC beta version and the exciting debut of the LMRC Version 1.0 along with the framework needed for successful implementation. Lastly, we will discuss the shared benefits of incorporating the LMRC into your residency site and end the webinar with time allocated to answer questions live.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe how the LMRC fits within the overall spectrum of Lifestyle Medicine education, training and certification.
2. Review the history of the LMRC pilot version and provide an update on the LMRC version 1.0 debut.
3. Discuss the framework needed for successful implementation of the LMRC.
4. Share the strengths, challenges, and benefits of the LMRC.

Speakers Bios:

Brenda Rea MD, DrPH, PT, RD, DipABLM
Executive Director @Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum

Dr Rea is Program Director of the Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium (LLUHEC) Family & Preventive Medicine Residency Program & Lifestyle Medicine Fellowship. She completed her educational pursuits as well as Family and Preventive Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University. She has consistently pursued professional training & experiences to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in relation to lifestyle medicine. Dr. Rea is a founding member of ACLM and currently serves on the Executive Board of ACLM and as Co-Chair of the Education Committee. She also serves as a Trustee for the Ardmore Institute of Health whose mission is the “improve the health and vitality of people to live more meaningful lives.” Dr. Rea has a wealth of experience mentoring students and residents in many areas of Lifestyle Medicine and is passionate about training a new generation of physicians to use lifestyle medicine to treat the root causes of disease.

Tonya Cramer MD, MPH, DipABLM
Program Director @Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum

Dr. Cramer is the Project Director of the Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum and sits on the faculty of the Loma Linda University Department of Preventive Medicine. She is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine, Obesity Medicine and General Preventive Medicine and Public Health. At Loma Linda, she sees patients in the specialty Lifestyle Medicine outpatient clinic and oversees the Lifestyle Medicine Inpatient Consult Service as the Assistant Medical Director. She enjoys working with complex patient diseases including chronic kidney and liver disease as well as auto-immune disease states. Dr. Cramer lives in Southern California where she enjoys having a mandarin tree in her backyard and fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the year.
