David Donohue, MD, FACP
Chief Medical Officer and Director of Lifestyle Medicine @Progressive Health of Delaware
Dr. Dave Donohue is a board-certified internist and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Donohue has an IT background, and worked 15 years as a software architect for the DuPont company. He graduated from Brandywine High School and then attended Rice University. He received a MS in Molecular Biology from Stanford University. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1997, and completed his residency in primary care Internal Medicine at George Washington University in 2000.
Dr. Donohue honors the science that shows our health care system is too costly and profit-driven.  Drugs are often not the best answer for our long-term health.  He strives to stop more medications than he starts.
Dr. Donohue believes that the answer to our most damaging and costly diseases is to reverse them.  In November 2016, he launched the Cure Diabetes program.  In February 2018, he and Karen Smith launched the Be Well program, designed to reverse any Western chronic disease such as hypertension, heart disease, and to prevent cancer.
