Description:

This webinar will begin by discussing the significant impact COVID-19 has had on vulnerable communities and communities of color. We will then move to a broader discussion on health disparities and the social determinants of health. Communities of color have been largely affected by the burden of chronic disease, experiencing the highest rate of morbidity and mortality. We will also discuss the powerful role of Lifestyle Medicine to successfully address these long-standing disparities.

Learning Objectives:

1. Cite the impact of COVID-19 on communities of color.
2. Define the social determinants of health.
